Terrytown developed as part of the post-war Westbank suburban expansion, with most of its housing built between the mid-1950s and late 1970s. These are single-story and occasionally two-story ranch homes on modest lots, with the closed kitchen layouts that define mid-century American residential construction. Many of these homes have had partial updates over the decades — new appliances, painted cabinets, new flooring — but the underlying layout and cabinet structure have often never been properly renovated. This is exactly the type of project we specialize in: taking a mid-century Westbank kitchen and transforming it into a functional, modern space without altering the fundamental character of the home.
