Bridge City is a small unincorporated community in Jefferson Parish at the western edge of the developed Westbank, bounded by the Harvey Canal to the east and the Huey P. Long Bridge to the north. The residential stock is almost entirely mid-century construction — modest single-family homes built during the post-war Westbank expansion with the closed kitchen layouts and limited counter space typical of that era. These homes are well-built and well-maintained by long-term residents, but their kitchens frequently represent the last major room that hasn’t been renovated. We work in Bridge City and the surrounding western Westbank regularly.
