Woodmere is a residential subdivision community in southern Jefferson Parish, developed primarily in the 1970s and 1980s as the Westbank’s residential footprint expanded further from the river. Homes here are single-family properties on conventional lots with the floor plans and kitchen layouts typical of late 20th-century suburban construction. Many of these homes are reaching the point in their lifecycle where kitchen renovation delivers the most value — cabinetry is past its practical life, layouts are dated, and countertop surfaces have been through enough that replacement is the right call.
